Reservoir Works impact on Greenway

The photos and videos here illustrate the effect of the works to the reservoir under the expired permissions granted by 18/00031/MINVOC and 18/00032/MINVOC. These permissions extended the previous permissions, which themselves further extended those originally granted in 2004 to construct this reservoir. The ‘safeguarding’ of PD1 has always been an essential element of those permissions.

The operating company Ingrebourne Valley Limited have applied for another extension until 31st July 2022 to complete these works and anticipate that the heavy plant used to do this will be operating throughout 2021 (see video below). These applications (20/00036/MINVOC, 20/00037/MINVOC and 20/00038/MINFUL)can be viewed here

A video of one of the Articulated Dumper Trucks (ADTs) returning empty shows the impact it has and the hazard it presents to users of the path which have increased significantly after the upgrading works by Warmington Parish Council with support from ENC. This video was taken facing the opposite direction to the photos above – towards the entrance to the Plant Site associated with the Reservoir works.
